Terrain.
This one, simple word can often mean the difference between a great playing and looking game and one that causes a lot of problems. As may long time miniatures gamers will attest, the better looking the terrain, the better the game. And who really wants to use a piece of cardboard with a picture on it anyway? Sure it's easy to transport around, but when it comes to determining line of sight issues, it can be rather confusing.
Naturally, the first question that comes up is how does one get some decent looking terrain? Well, there are two answers to this question. Firstly, one could simply buy what terrain they want to use. While some very good looking terrain is available from various companies such as Master Maze and Armorcast, this can be expensive in the long run. The other option remaining to individuals is to make your own.
That's where this page comes in. Many people don't know where to start when making their own terrain, or how to go about doing it. In days and weeks to come, I will be adding articles and pictures of various methods of terrain building. I will even include some examples of pre-made building to give individuals some ideas as to what is available when it comes to terrain.
